I prefer this mouse over the logitech I already have because of the way the USB stick attaches to the bottom of the mouse when not in use. The stick was always slipping off and running down the battery when I threw the logitech mouse in my bookbag. This is designed slightly differently and the USB stick does not slip off. Thus I save $$ on batteries.

This is my second Microsoft wireless mouse and I am happy to endorse this product. It's a simple plug and go mouse that requires no installations. It's a good size, and its buttons and center (scrolling) wheel are responsive. Battery is easy to remove, and the USB transmitter clips into the bottom of the mouse nicely to enable convenient storage and transport (it also turns the mouse off, to increase battery life). My only complaint would be the packaging the mouse comes in. I'm not exaggerating when I say that packaging contains more plastic than the mouse does. Why does there have to be that much plastic around so small an item? I'm sure Microsoft would save money, and it would be better for the environment too. I almost threw away the battery that was included in the packaging because it was such a massive wad of plastic!
